Synopsis

The All-on-4® concept is one of the breakthroughs in Implant Dentistry, allowing the rehabilitation of the majority of edentulous arches without the need of bone grafting. Created at MALO CLINIC, the All-on-4® concept it is backed up by more than 20 years of clinical research with excellent long-term results.

The secret for that success has been the constant evolution of the protocols that receive great attention from our side. Today, the All-on-4® concept is up to date with the digital revolution in Implant Dentistry, allowing to upgrade surgical and prosthodontic protocols following a full digital workflow.

Our Clinical Residencies are typically for much smaller groups of participants with a lot more focus on the daily work of the clinic rather than on lectures and pure training programs. The participant can observe surgeries or other treatments, or follow the surgical procedures via CCTV. The program may include the MALO CLINIC Protocol (All-on-4® surgical protocol + MALO CLINIC Bridge), immediate function single and partial, and fixed prosthodontics, as well as other procedures of the various specialties of dentistry.

Dr. Ana Ferro

Graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon, in 2004, did a Specialization Degree in Periodontics from 2008 to 2011 at the same Faculty where she also lectured at the Periodontology Department from 2004 to 2008, and is now currently an Invited Assistant. Also with a Post-Graduation in Periodontology from the University of Gothenburg (2004 to 2005) and currently a PhD student in biomedical sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, Ana Ferro joined the MALO CLINIC Team in 2005. Practicing exclusively in periodontology, oral surgery and dental implant rehabilitation, Ana Ferro has an extensive knowledge of total rehabilitations using the MALO CLINIC Protocol (All-on-4® Surgical Protocol) and was the sub-director of the Oral Surgery department of the MALO CLINIC Lisbon from 2010 to July 2015, currently being this Department’s Head. Interested in patient management and anxiety control, Ana Ferro also has an Academic Certification in Conscious Sedation from the Madrid Complutense University. One of the MALO CLINIC key speakers, Ana Ferro, was the clinical subdirector of MALO CLINIC Education between 2007 and 2010 and has lectured in several national and international training events featuring Periodontology, Oral Rehabilitation, Implantology, Guided Surgery and Conscious Sedation. She is author and co-author of several scientific publications, and book chapters.

Dr. Armando Lopes

Graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon, in 2003 and joined the MALO CLINIC team in 2004, Currently Director of MALO CLINIC Lisbon, he was Oral Surgery Department Director between 2007 and mid-2015, and Director of the Imaging Department between 2007 and early 2011. Practicing exclusively in oral surgery and dental implant rehabilitation, Armando Lopes has an extensive know-how on total rehabilitation using the MALO CLINIC protocol, the All-on-4 surgical protocol, including the zygomatic approaches, and i salso na expert in Digital surgery. One of the MALO CLINIC key speakers, Armando Lopes lectures regularly at international couses, conferences and other training events featuring oral rehabilitation, implantology and Digital surgery. Dr. Lopes earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Dental Research in 2013 and a PhD in 2019 both from the University of Granada (Spain). He is author and coauthor of several scientific publications.
